Special Film Screenings with Film Maker Discussion
The GoggleWorks Center for the Arts will show two screenings of the independent film, The Thundering 8th;
Friday, June 2 at 3:00pm and
Saturday, June 3 at 12:00pm
The film’s writer, producer, and director, Donald Borza, II will attend Saturday’s screening at noon and lead a question and answer discussion period immediately following the film.
The 98-minute film is the fictional story of a WWII fighter pilot, played by Borza himself, reflecting back on his service as a war ace. His pained memories of love and war are told in the classic World War II movie tradition, using black and white photography and a color wash to set the tone. Though the main theme is war, there are underlying triumphs and tragedies that carry the audience through the characters’ stories, mostly in the form of flashbacks.
