Acting's his profession - and he digs it! But there are things that turn him on even more ...
Nobody can stop Mike Vincent ! When he gets tempted, there's just no turning him
off !Sure, we all slip once in awhile . You buy another sweater when you already
have fifteen . Or you go on an ice cream binge because you can't seem to help
yourself . Luckily, this kind of thing doesn't happen to often . To us, that is .It
happens to Mike Vincent all the time . He's surrounded by the kind of temptation he
can't resist ...so he's given up trying . In fact, he heads straight for it when he's
finished his working day !The scene in Malibu, where Mike has a cosy wooden house
facing the ocean . In back of the house are woods and mountains . In front is the
water .In the house, there may be scripts to consider and, since he's a bachelor,
household chores to do . But it all gets forgotten when THAT temptation comes over
him ...What THAT ? The country .
No neon signs, no honking cars, no city noises . Just clean, fresh, wild nature . And
there's no other place Mike would rather be . Mike can't resist the sight of the
ocean, especially at sunset when the sky is all pink and orange and the beach is as
smooth as glass . As soon as he gets home, Mike jumps into some comfortable old
clothes and heads for the shore . "I really should have been a fish" he joked "because
I always feel pulled toward the sea - as if some magical voice were calling me ." Mike
loves to walk along the sand, picking up shells and driftwood, listening to the waves
and smelling the salty air . Sometimes he just plunks himself down on the damp
sand, but usually you can find him chasing his German Shepherd through the tide
.Mike will always stop to feed a stray seagull that might happen along . He just can't
stay away from any animal . Right now, he's sharing his house with two pet monkeys,
a cat, a parrot, some fish and his dog .But don't expect that to last for long - Mike
can't pass a pet shop without looking in ! …
Pratically nothing can lure Mike away from his beach expect a horse ! Mike flips at just the sight of a horse, even a magazine shot . "When I was doing a western
movie" he said " it seemed so silly to call it work, I had a ball!" Taking care of a horse is a lot of work . And Mike's a busy guy .
But he's developed such a passion for horses, he had to have his own . And not just one . A couple . They live in a stable behind Mike's house . But they're rarely there . "I get such an urge to go riding " he said "that I can't control myself . Before I even know it, I'm galloping through the woods ."
Sometimes Mike starts out for a short ride - but discover later that he's been out for hours ! There are few things he loves more than getting away from the hustle of the studio to be by himself, just racing through the forest, letting the wind blow through his hair . Don't get the idea that Mike's a complete loner, though . True, he'd rather be alone than a big splashy Hollywood party . But there's another temptation Mike can't resist - and it's not at home ! It's that girl ! She's the girl who temps Mike to give up his bachelor days . She's the one who goes riding with Mike, who shares things with him . She's the one who strolls hand-in-hand with him along the beach . She's in Mike's dreams . Is she you ?
